Semi-Final - Leg 2

After one of the most thrilling games of this year’s UEFA Champions League, we know who the finalists heading to Wembley will be!

Two of Europe’s most decorated clubs clashed in the second leg of the UCL semi-final, with Real Madrid defending home turf against FC Bayern at the death to set themselves up for a potential 15th Champions League trophy after a 2:1 victory (2:2 in Leg 1). 

The first half was a tense affair, with neither side taking any major risks. The second half, however, was an absolute barn-burner. First, Alphonso Davies fired the visitors in front with a well-placed shot from the edge of the box in the 68th minute. Real Madrid, being the masters of European football that they are, didn’t take long to equalize, but the goal was ruled offside. The tension rose and rose, until super-sub Joselu struck first in the 88th minute after a horrendous Neuer mistake, and then in the 91st minute after a questionable offside call that was ruled onside. Bish, bosh, and Real Madrid is in another UCL final!

Semi-Final - Leg 2

If you’re having a strange sense of deja-vu, don’t worry, you’re not going crazy, but Borussia Dortmund fans most certainly are after their stunning two-leg upset of heavy favorites PSG in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League!

The Germans held the narrowest of leads heading into the rematch at Parc Des Princes in Paris (1:0), but they didn’t give an inch in front of the intimidating atmosphere of a packed stadium and the prospect of battling Mbappe and co. once again (PSG overturned a 3:2 loss against Barcelona in the quarter-finals to make it to the semis). Kobel and the defense of the Bundesliga side were tested like never before, with more than 30 shots from the home team, but the black and yellow wall remained impregnable, and even contributed to the 1:0 win in the second leg. 

It was Mats Hummels, Dortmund’s stout center-back for the past decade or so, who gave Borussia the lead in the 50th minute, and they never looked back on their way to their first Champions League finals since 2013. All that remains is to see who will be their opponent at Wembley stadium in the final (Real Madrid vs. FC Bayern is the other semi-final, where Leg 1 ended 2:2).

Semi-Final - Leg 1

The 1st of May might be a holiday in many parts of the world, but Borrussia Dortmund and PSG were hard at work battling it out in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. While the French side, led by superstar Kylian Mbappe, appeared to be the heavy favorite, things didn't turn out quite like their fans expected. 

In fact, it was the home crowd at Signal Iduna Park that celebrated the narrowest of victories (1:0), which already has many dreaming of their first return to the UCL finals since 2013. Nikolas Fullkrug was their hero when he struck the back of the net in the 36th minute, but the German’s stout defense was equally deserving of praise for managing to keep a clean sheet. Will Mbappe and co. be able to make up the difference at home? Stay tuned!

Semi-Final - Leg 1

The UEFA Champions League semi-finals are upon us, and what better way to kick them off than with a brilliant 2:2 draw between European giants FC Bayern and Real Madrid!

Real Madrid went to Allianz Arena on the wings of a massively challenging quarter-finals against Man City, but they didn’t show the slightest bit of fatigue or complacency and took the lead away from home through Vinicius Junior in the 24th minute. The result stayed the same until half-time, but the Bavarians turned on the jets in the second half and blasted their way to a lead first through a screamer from Leroy Sane, and then through a penalty that Harry Kane converted in the 57th minute. 

Real Madrid’s mastermind, Carlo Ancelotti, soon freshened up the team with three subs, giving the team more pace and thoroughly outplaying their German counterparts in finals half an hour. Their better play culminated in a clear penalty of their own when Rodrygo was brought down in the area, and Vini Jr was cool-headed to deliver the final 2:2. The rematch at Santiago Bernabeu is sure to be a banger!

Quarter-Final - Leg 2

While it was nearly impossible to live up to the insane level of excitement that Tuesday’s UCL fixtures provided (PSG snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against Barca, while Borussia Dortmund shocked Atletico Madrid), last night’s Champions League match participants did their darndest. FC Bayern managed to fend off a furious assault from Arsenal to move on to the semis after a minimal victory (1:0) at their Allianz Arena (3:2 overall), while Manchester City and Real Madrid needed penalties to resolve the clash of the titans after drawing 3:3 in the first leg and 1:1 in the second. 

In Bavaria, Harry Kane and his teammates were desperate to stay in the UCL after conceding the first domestic title in 11 years to Bayer Leverkusen, and that’s exactly what they managed to do. The match was full of chances on both sides, with a combined 23 shots on goal, but only one of those shots found the mark, and it was Arsenal’s keeper David Raya who had to retrieve the ball from his net after Joshua Kimmich banged one in following a beautiful assist from Raphael Guerreiro. The game turned into a rough affair following that goal in the 63rd minute, and Arsenal only managed a few yellow cards, but at least they can now focus fully on trying to win the Premier League title in one of the tightest races in years. 

Over at the Etihad Stadium in the blue part of Manchester, excitement reached a fever pitch with fans expecting another goal bonanza after that epic 3:3 game in Madrid, but alas, it was not to be. The football was solid, but both sides seemed scared to take a risk, but it didn’t take long for Rodrygo to capitalize on the keeper’s mistake once he saved his shot from point blank range - 12th minute, 0:1 Real Madrid. A tense affair followed, with aggressive play  from both sides but little actual coherent action. When the going gets tough for Man City, though, they always have that legendary ace up their sleeve - Kevin De Bruyne. The best No. 10 in football today once again took matters into his own hands when it mattered most and equalized in the 76th minute. His goal turned out to be the final one of the game, which dragged on into extra time, and then penalties. 

In a strange twist of fate, it was three highly experienced players that missed penalties, with Man City’s misses ultimately costing them the semi-finals of the UCL. It was Real’s Luka Modric who missed the very first spot kick, but Guardiola’s next shooters, Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic, both missed theirs as well, meaning that Carlo Ancelotti and his record-holding side when it comes to Champions League titles (14) are through to the next stage and the odds-on favorites to win it all once again.

Quarter-Final - Leg 2

Another night of Champions League action is behind us, and not even Shakespeare could have written tales as dramatic as the ones that unfolded in Dortmund and Barcelona!

Let’s start in Germany. Diego Simeone and his usually impregnable Atletico defense touched down on enemy turf with the narrowest of leads from Leg 1 of the UCL Quarter-Finals (2:1). Unfortunately for them, that very defense that took them to two UCL finals in the last decade was anything but impregnable on the night, leading to a crazy turnaround and a final score of 4:2 (5:4) and an early exit from Europe’s elite competition.

The goal bonanza started when one of the best goalkeepers in the world, Jan Oblak, made an error and allowed Julian Brandt to put the hosts ahead in the 34th minute. A mere 5 minutes later, Ian Maatsen blasted his team ahead by 2:0. 

The rock of Dortmund’s last line, Mats Hummels, was the one to put Atletico back on level terms over the two legs with an unfortunate own goal, which was followed up by a volley from Angel Correa in the 64th minute to put the Spaniards level and to give them the advantage, 3:4. The Germans wasted no time equalizing once more thanks to a beauty of a cross from Sabitzer and an even better header from Fullkrug in the 71st. 

The icing on the cake at Signal Iduna Park came 3 minutes later, when the Austrian international Marcel Sabitzer turned into the undisputed hero of the  night with his first goal after two assists to take Borussia Dortmund through to the semis!

Barcelona, which wasn’t playing at its renowned Camp Nou due to renovations, had a meltdown of epic proportions on their way out of the Champions League. The first leg of the duel with PSG ended 3:2 in favor of the Spaniards, giving them some breathing room heading into the epic clash with Mbappe and co. 

Barca got off to a flying start, with Raphinha, their brace-scoring hero from Leg 1, once again netting after a brilliant slalom from the youngest player to ever appear in the knockout stages of the UCL, Lacine Yamal. That’s where the fun ended for the Catalans, though. 

Ronald Araujo turned out to be the fall guy for a collapse of epic proportions, seeing as things started going horribly wrong for Barcelona right after he got a red card in the 29th minute. The most hated man in Catalonia, former Barcelona-turned-PSG star Ousman Dembele, got PSG level before half time, and the Parisians only piled on the misery from there.

First, Vitinha struck an absolute banger from some 25 meters for 1:2 and a level score from both legs. Next, Mbappe converted a penalty in the 61st minute to give the French side the lead, with the same man completing the rout in the 89th minute for an improbable return to the semis for PSG (1:4, 4:6 overall). If you bet on the underdogs last night, you’re probably rolling in the dough and loving it!

Quarter-Final - Leg 1

Leg 1, Day 2 of the UEFA Champions League Quarter-Finals was equally as exciting as Day 1, with the Spanish proving triumphant in both fixtures to set up what will surely be thrilling, action-packed return fixtures. Atletico Madrid defended their home turf against Borussia Dortmund 2:1, while PSG once again faltered in the UCL and fell at home to Barcelona, 2:3. 

The Metropolitano Stadium in Spain’s capital was packed to capacity for the duel with the Germans, and the fans didn’t have to wait long to celebrate the first goal, seeing as Rodrigo De Paul put Atletico up after only 4 minutes of play. The home team managed to double their lead before half time thanks to Lino in the 32. minute, but the black and yellow attack led by Sebastian Haller struck back in the 81st minute to make sure that there’s hope when they go back to their Signal Iduna Stadium in Dortmund. 

The Parc De Princes was also fernetic with energy before PSG kicked off against Barcelona, but the 5-time Champions League winners weren’t in the mood for messing around, and took the lead thanks to Raphinha before half time.

The goal from the away team definitely woke up the French side, or it might have been a stern team talk from the manager at half-time, but PSG came back out for the second half a different team, with Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha scoring in short order to turn the game on it’s head. However, those years of UCL pedigree came shining through from the Spaniards, and they thoroughly outplayed the Parisians for the rest of the game. 

First, the hero of the day, Raphinha, leveled the score in the 62nd minute, which was followed by a combination from two UCL-winning maestros in Ilkay Gundogan and Andreas Christiansen for the final score and a win worth it’s weight in gold for the Catalans, 2:3.

Champions League 23/24 - April 9, 2024

Quarter-Final - Leg 1

The UEFA Champions League Quarter-Finals were off to the races last night, and we truly couldn’t have asked for more action-packed affairs at The Emirates Stadium and the Santiago Bernabeu! The British were facing off with Western European adversaries in both games, with Arsenal hosting FC Bayern and Real Madrid hosting Manchester City, and boy did the fans get their money’s worth in both games. 

The Gunners got off to a dream  start after their undisputed MVP this season, Boukayo Saka, put Arsenal ahead in the 12. minute of the game. Unfortunately, Arteta’s  lads were only ahead for 6 minutes, and they were even trailing after half time thanks to a screamer from Serge Gnabry in the 18th and a penalty conversion by Harry Kane in the 32. minute. However, Bayern’s nightmare season of untimely slip-ups continued, and Arsenal’s Joker Leandro Trossard managed to even the score in the 76th minute for the final result, 2:2.

In the capital of Spain, Madrid, things were even more exciting, with Los Blancos and The Blues from Manchester putting on a proper show worthy of their “best on the planet” reputations. Last year’s UCL winners Man City raced ahead in the 2nd minute thanks to Bernardo Silva, but his colleague from the Portuguese national team, Ruben Dias, put the ball in their own net to level the score ten minutes later. The frenetic action continued, and Rodrygo was soon celebrating the go-ahead goal a mere two minutes later. 

Phil Foden, Man City’s best player this season without a shadow of a doubt, was the one to bring the Citizens level after 66 minutes of play, with Josko Gvardiol following up 5 minutes later after a beautiful assist from Jack Grealish for the renewed lead. Unfortunately for Guardiola’s side, and to the delight of the home fans, Fede Valverde was once again the man of the hour for Real Madrid, and his 77th minute equalizer set the final score, 3:3. 

The first legs were absolutely insane, and UCL fans are furiously counting down the days until the return fixtures of the Champions League Quarter Finals, where complete chaos no doubt awaits!

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2023/24 GUESSING GAME - DAY 20

Champions League 23/24 - March 13, 2024

Round of 16 - Leg 2

Another thrilling night of Champions League action is behind us. While Borussia Dortmund handled business against one of the most pleasant surprises of the UCL this season, PSV Eindhoven, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan took part in a tantalizing duel that went down to the wire, with the Spaniards cooler heads prevailing in a dramatic penalty shootout. 

Borussia Dortmund wasn’t sitting on a comfortable lead from the first leg of their Round of 16 tie with PSV (Leg 1 ended 1:1), but they looked so comfortable and dominant in the rematch that you’d never have guessed it. The returning hero, Jadon Sancho, who came back to the club in January after an inauspicious return to the Premier League with Man Utd, fired the Germans in front in the 3rd minute. They never looked back on their way to a thoroughly impressive 2:0 win, for an overall 3:1 against the Dutch side. 

And now, for the main course of the evening - what an absolute festival of football Atletico and Inter put on in Madrid!

The Milanese side went into this match with a minimal advantage after winning at the death in Leg 1 (1:0). The Italians put pressure on Atletico’s defense early, with a very high and aggressive line proving to be the right approach when left back Federico Dimarco put Inter ahead in the 33rd minute. Barely 2 minutes later, Anotine Griezmann leveled the score after some chaos inside the Atleti box. 

The second half turned into a proper battle of two renowned defensive teams, with neither side willing to give up an inch. It seemed like Inter would manage to pull out a narrow win, but then a beautiful combination from Koke and Memphis Depay brought all their hopes crashing down in the 87th minute. The score was level, and they were off to extra time. 

The Italians were incredibly nervous in the extra innings, with 3 yellow cards received and no coherent moves towards the opponents goal. Atletico didn’t show too much initiative either, so extra time gave way to penalties, which is where the Madridians showed their experience and kicked Inter out of the competition after going 3:2 on penalties (Inter’s players, almost incredibly, missed 3 penalties). What a night of UCL action, eh?

Champions League 23/24 - March 12, 2024

Round of 16 - Leg 2

Both games that took place last night in the UEFA Champions League had huge stakes on the line, with the underdogs having pulled out favorable results in the first leg of the Round of 16. While Barcelona went into their rematch with Napoli at the Camp Nou on level terms (1:1), Arsenal was chasing a 1-goal deficit against FC Porto. 

FC Porto are no strangers to massive underdog wins, seeing as they lifted the trophy in 2004, when Jose Mourinho’s side smashed Sir Alex Ferguson’s legendary Man Utd side and Real Madrid’s Galacticos on the way to the title.

Unfortunately for Porto fans, lightning won’t be striking twice when it comes to their Champions League involvement, because Arsenal rose up to the occasion, fought back from that 0:1 deficit, and managed to knock out the Portuguese side after a nail-biting penalty shootout (1:1 after extra time, 4:2 on penalties).

In the other match of the night, Barcelona ran through Napoli on their way to a 3:1 win. The Catalans needed all of 20 minutes to put the match pretty much out of grasp for Napoli, while Robert Lewandowski confirmed their passage into the Quarter-Finals in the 83. Minute for the final score. 

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2023/24 GUESSING GAME - DAY 18

Round of 16 - Leg 2

The Champions League Round of 16 was on fire last night, with high stakes for two of Europe’s giants, Real Madrid and Manchester City. While Pep Guardiola’s side handled business in both legs of their draw against heavy underdogs FC Copenhagen with the identical score (1:3, 3:1, for an overall 6:2 advantage), fans of Real Madrid were surely chewing their nails off during the second half of their return fixture against RB Leipzig. 

Los Blancos held a minimal lead heading into the deciding game thanks to a goal from Brahim Diaz, but they sure didn’t look like the favorites in the first half of a rather rough affair at the Santiago Bernabeu. There were no goals in the first half, only yellow cards. The deadlock was finally broken by Real Madrid’s prodigious duo of Jude Bellingham and Vini Jr, who combined to give the 14-time Champions League winners breathing room as they looked to close out the Germans. 

Leipzig turned up the gas, though, and found their own way to the net through captain Willie Orban. They fought bravely the rest of the way, but the Spaniards held on and confirmed their passage to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League (1:1, 2:1)!

Round of 16 - Leg 2

Last night’s Champions League games showed us who the real title favorites are in the race for “Old Big Ears” (an affectionate term for the UCL trophy). PSG handled business against the heavy underdogs in Real Sociedad and won 1:2 (1:4 overall). 

The other match of the night, Lazio vs. FC Bayern, held much more intrigue, with the Romans having won the first leg 1:0. The first half started off at a blistering pace, but Harry Kane and Thomas Muller extinguished the Italian’s hopes with a double salvo of goals just before half time that completely deflated the guests. Harry Kane rounded out the scoring in the 66. Minute for the final 3:0 (3:1 overall) to book the Bavarians tickets to the next stage.

Round of 16 - Leg 1

Another day of UCL Knockout action, and another win for an overwhelming underdog!

Porto, winners of the Champions League in 2004 with Jose Mourinho, are the closest they’ve been to reaching the quarter-finals of Europe’s elite competition in years after beating Arsenal at home 1:0 in a spirited affair. The other game of the night, Napoli vs. Barcelona ended as a draw (1:1), meaning that there’s everything to play for in the rematch, when Napoli, who’s on their third coach of the season after firing Walter Mazzari and bringing in Francesco Calzona, head to Camp Nou.

The UEFA Champions League Round of 16 had two more games in store for us, and the results were as hard-fought as they come. Inter Milan managed to scrape by Atletico Madrid thanks to a late goal from Marko Arnautovic (1:0), while PSV and Borussia Dortmund drew 1:1 in the Netherlands, which means the rematch in Germany will be a certified banger.

The knockout phase is where the action really heats up, and day 1 didn’t disappoint. Copenhagen went down fighting against Man City at home (1:3), while RB Leipzig game Real Madrid all they could handle, giving the Germans hope that they can overturn a 0:1 deficit heading into the return fixture.

GROUP STAGE - MATCHDAY 6 

Last night’s round of Champions League games was absolutely gripping, with minnows felling giants and some nearly shocking results going down. 

RB Leipzig beat Young Boys 2:1, but Crvena Zvezda nearly caused a huge upset by taking the lead against Man City before the English powerhouse snapped out of a stupor and turned the game around to win 2:3 in Belgrade.

Antwerp, on the other hand, didn’t just knock down Barcelona - they thoroughly outplayed them on the way to an epic 3:2 victory. In other results, Porto beat Shaktar in a high scoring affair (5:3), Celtic beat Feyenoord 2:1, Dortmund drew with PSG (1:1), Atletico Madrid beat Lazio 2:0, and Newcastle fans had to endure a finish at the bottom of a Champion’s League group for the first time in their history after capitulating to Milan in a make-or-break game at home (1:2).

Round 8 of the UEFA Champions League offered a full slate of 8 games. The guests were particularly successful on Day 8 of the UCL, with Real Madrid beating Union Berlin 2:3 away from home, Benfica doing the same against RB Salzburg (1:3), and FC Bayern completing the trifecta with a minimal victory at Old Trafford against Man Utd (0:1). In the rest of the games, Lens handled business and kept their hopes for progressing alive with a 2:1 victory over Sevilla, PSV took a point off Arsenal after a dull 1:1 affair, Napoli dominated Braga 2:0, and Inter Milan couldn’t get anything going on their way to a 0:0 draw with Real Sociedad at home.

GROUP STAGE - MATCHDAY 5

Only 5 games were on the menu last night, but what games they were!

Galatasaray and Manchester United fought to a draw after a cracking game that saw both teams score 3 goals, while an equally exciting battle between Benfica and Inter in Lisbon ended with the same score. 

Arsenal put on an absolute clinic against Lens on their way to a 6:0 scoreline at home, while PSV shocked Sevilla, one of the clubs with the most European trophies ever, with a 2:3 win at Ramon-Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium. 

Finally, Copenhagen continued their dream run in this year’s “Group of Death” by nipping a point from FC Bayern with a 0:0 draw at the usually impregnable Allianz Arena.

Another 8 brilliant games went down on Day 6 of the UCL, and the favorites were very much in control throughout the affair. Lazio, Shaktar, Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Young Boys, and Man City all swept away inferior opposition, while the most interesting match of the night unfolded under the bright lights of Stade des Princes in Paris, where Newcastle bravely fought to a 1:1 draw against the European giants. Another night of brilliant football in the UEFA Champions League Group Stage is behind us, and boy what a night it was!

The 8 pairs of teams were in action, with most of the home teams bar Napoli and RB Salzburg successfully defending their home turf. Real Sociedad, FC Bayern, Arsenal, PSV, and Real Madrid were all victorious at home, while Copenhagen provided the biggest shocker of the round with an impressive 4:3 win against the Red Devils from Manchester. Inter Milan was the only traveling team to take 3 points back to Guisseppe Meazza after beating RB Salzburg 0:1, while Napoli labored to a 1:1 draw with Union Berlin in spite of all their efforts in front of goal.

The UEFA Champions League Group Stage continues! Last night, football fans from all over the globe had a chance to enjoy 8 matches and some very interesting football moments. Let’s see what were the end results and who were the winners!

On the first night of the Matchday 4, 16 teams went out on the football pitch and showed their playing chops. Dortmund, Atletico de Madrid, Man City, Leipzig, and Porto confirmed their wins from the previous matches with the same opponents. On the other hand, Shakhtar Donetsk was able to defeat Barcelona, Lazio scored 1 goal and took the win against Feyenoord, and Milan recovered from the loss in October and defeated Paris.

Champions League 2023/24 Guessing Game - Day 7 

On the 7th day of the UEFA Champions League Group Stage, hundreds of players joined a Guessing Game organized on Roshteins website. Out of all of them, 2 were able to correctly predict the winners of all 8 matches, 18 on 7, 103 on 6, 241 on 5, 337 on 4, 11 on 3, 38 on 2, and 26 on single match. 

The top 5 guessers on the leaderboard have over 8,000 points (balls)! At the end of the competition, top 100 will get part of the gigantic prize pool which can reach up to $50,000.

Champions League 23/24 - October 25, 2023

The last set of UEFA Champions League matches for October 2023 took place last night and football fans, both in the stadiums around Europe and in front of the screens, had a chance to witness some amazing gameplays and lots of goals. Players entered the matches ready for action, no doubt about it! Let’s dive a bit deeper and see if there were any surprises! 

Group Stage - Matchday 3 

The Matchday 3 was closed by the teams from groups E, H, F, and G. In their quest to enter the next stage of UEFA Champions League, teams entered the football pitches and gave their best. Feyenoord was able to beat Lazio thanks to a double from Gimenez and one goal from Zerruki putting them at the very top of the group E. 

Unsurprisingly, Barcelona, Leipzig, Man City, and Porto secured the wins against Shakhtar Donetsk, Crvena Zvezda, Young Boys, and Antwerp. Paris Saint-Germain climbed to the top of group F thanks to the goals of Mbappe and Kolo Muani, beating Milan. Dortmund was able to land a win against Newcastle while Celtic VS Atletico de Madrid match ended in a draw.

In the UEFA Guessing Game organized on Roshtein’s website, over 1,300 players placed their bets on the winners of the last night’s matches. Noone guessed correctly the end results on all 8 matches but 20 players submitted the correct guesses on 7 games, 336 on 6, 432 on 5, 348 on 4, 131 on 3, 61 on 2, and 32 on only one match from last night. 

Champions League 23/24 - October 24, 2023 

Last night, fans of European football were able to enjoy another amazing set of matches within UEFA Champions League competition! There were not a lot of goals but that doesn’t mean the games were not full of thrilling moments. Let’s see which teams managed to come on top and which had to deal with the painful defeat last night. 

Group Stage - Matchday 3 

The teams from groups A, D, B, and C gave their best and tried to score some extra points last night in hope of securing the pass into the next stage of UEFA Champions League. Manchester United finally managed to land its first win in this elite competition while Arsenal, also successful in the match against Sevilla, got to claim a first position in the group after PSV played a draw against Lens. 

Real Madrid unsurprisingly continued its winning streak while Napoli sealed a second win playing Union Berlin. The first meeting between Galatasaray and Bayern in 50 years went in favor of Bayern Munich. Inter defeated Salzburg at San Siro with goals from Alexis Sanchez and Hakan Calhanoglu.

Last night, football fans from all over the world got to enjoy watching some of the best European teams battle for the possibility to enter the next stage of the UEFA Champions League. At Signal Iduna Park, Milan was unable to dominate Borussia Dortmund and ended the match in a draw.

Champions League 2023/24 Guessing Game - Day 4 

Over a thousand people joined the UEFA Guessing Game for Wednesday matches. Guessers were luckier than the previous day when only one of them was able to make correct predictions on all matches. This time, 6 of them made proper predictions and won lots of points which lead them toward the very top of the Guessing Game leaderboard.  

Results for 6 matches were correctly predicted by 81 users, for 5 matches 285, for 4 matches 298, for 3 matches 216, for 2 matches 107, and for only 1 match 25. Overall, not bad, especially given the fact that many of the players are not necessarily football experts and are led by the gut feeling, betting odds, or something else. Over a 1,000 people joined in and placed their guesses on the UEFA Guessing Game on Roshtein’s website. Out of all of them only one was able to predict the end results of all matches played on October 3, 2023. Twelve guessers predicted 6 match results, 83 guessed correctly on 5 matches, 269 on 4, 359 on 3, 231 on 2, and 48 on only 1.

The group stage of UEFA Champions League continues! On the second day of this popular football competition 8 matches took place. Out of all of them, not a single player was successful in getting the correct results on all 8 matches. However, 12 players made the right guesses on 7 matches while 116 guessed right on 6 out of 8. The total number of guessers who chose the winner in 5 matches is 512, in 4 is 945, in 3 is 462, in 2 is 154, and in only 1 game is 51.
