Betting Options and Bonus Features
Time Spinners by Hacksaw Gaming is a special gambling experience not for the faint of heart. The menacing theme is accompanied by sharp yet colorful symbols and lots of thrilling action.
You begin with a 5x4 gameplay grid and 10 paylines. The goal is to line up matching symbols in one of the paylines to complete the winning combination. Different symbols payout different amounts. Premium symbols pay between 0.5x and 20x your stake on 5-of-a-kind wins but you have the potential to win much more with some of the game’s special features.
The main base game feature is the wild symbol. It appears anywhere on the reels and has the ability to substitute for any other paying symbol to help you form winning combinations. It also pays the same as the highest-paying symbol on 5-of-a-kind wins.
A wild symbol is distinguished by its straightforward icon of the letter "W" but it also comes in a special form of a red pocket watch. In this form, it acts as a wild multiplier. Apart from substituting, the pocket watch also has a multiplier value of up to 12x!
In addition, it can also appear in a golden color. This version is a Sync Watch that synchronizes all other watches in view to match the highest multiplier value present. The feature is even further expanded in the free spins bonus round. In order to trigger the Borrowed Time Bonus Round, you must land 3 Ghost scatter symbols anywhere in view on the reels.
The bonus round is divided into two phases. The first phase is a collect phase, which plays out like a classic hold-and-respin feature with 3 spins starting in your tally. Your gameplay grid will get cleared of regular symbols and the game will introduce new Echo symbols.
- Regular Echo - adds its value (1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, or 10x) to all adjacent wild multipliers.
- Epic Echo - multiplies all adjacent wild multipliers by its value (x2, x3, x4, or x5).
Only echo and pocket watch symbols will be able to land in this phase. However, each time at least one of these lands, your tally gets reset back to 3 spins.
After that, in the Payout phase, your gameplay grid will return to normal and feature regular pay symbols as in the base game. However, all wild multipliers you’ve accumulated in the first phase will carry over and become sticky. You’ll get 3 free spins plus 1 extra spin for each tally reset you’ve achieved.
Finally, the game also features two separate bonus buy options. Both are completely optional but will help you unlock the bonus round more quicker. The FeatureSpins option doubles your bet size but makes it 3x as likely to trigger the bonus round. And the regular bonus buy option lets you skip straight to the Borrowed Time Bonus Round for 100x your stake.

Time Spinners is clearly an ambitious project by Hacksaw Gaming but it lacks oomph. I’m a sucker for hold & respin bonus games but my biggest complaint regarding that is that most of the time it's just too dang short. The game is really volatile though, so crazy action is more than possible. It just takes a few tries. Sometimes too many…
