ABOUT

Om Nom is made by Hacksaw Gaming as a sequel to Stick’ Em, a very minimalist slot. But this one is made for the foodies since every symbol here will make your mouth water like nothing else. The gameplay is even simpler than the original yet many players will come back for how cute and casual the game feels.

Betting Options and Bonus Features

While Stick 'Em was more general in its imagery, Om Nom adopts a more coherent theme centered around junk food. The paytable consists of 4 reels, 4 rows, and 8 base game symbols including cupcake, chocolate bar, ice cream, popcorn, hamburger, fries, a pizza slice, and donut. The donut, in particular, has eyes, mouths, and rewards 2x for landing 4 of a kind.

Om Nom has 256 paylines, RTP of 96.28%, and a max win of 4.800x max win. Hacksaw has adopted a strategy of incorporating a small but impactful set of features, the first of which is the Multiplier feature. In this feature, a symbol is randomly chosen and displayed in the Om Nom logo. If the chosen symbols form a win, a multiplier spinner will activate and reveal a multiplier of 2x to 100x. The base values for winning combinations may seem tiny, but it is this feature that can turn those figures into big numbers.

The second feature is the Free Spins bonus, triggered when 3 free spins symbols appear. During this bonus round, the Mystery symbol and Multiplier Spinner remain in play, while Wild symbols are introduced to the reels. Again, this seems like a minor addition at first sight, but the likelihood of creating winning combinations matter so much in Om Nom because it maximizes the utilization of the multiplier.

Roshtein’s Take

Om Nom by Hacksaw Gaming is a delightful slot that is not only overflowing with cuteness, but it also makes the most out of a very minimalist design. The Multiplier feature means that every small win can suddenly be quite impactful, but the downside is that the game lacks the potential for gigantic moments that make your jaw drop. Obviously, the gameplay is intentionally designed to be casual and lowkey, but unfortunately, most players play slots for these moments.
