How to Enable Twitch Chat Emotes for Browser and Phone

Like every other platform where main communication between users is done in chat, Twitch provides both streamers and viewers with a simple yet effective way to voice their emotions and opinions - emotes! These funny little moving pictures are an important part of the Twitch - and Kick -  culture and represent a quick and easy way to communicate with thousands of people in the chat. 

After all, we all know the old saying - A picture is worth a thousand words! So, why use the entire sentence or more when one emote can describe everything you want?!  

While Global Emotes are available to all the registered Twitch users, their number is quite limited and so is the range of emotions people get to express. However, in a few simple steps, a user can install an extension and gain access to a wide variety of emotes that will catapult their Twitch communication possibilities to the next level. 

How to Install Chat Emotes for Browser? 

Step 1: 

Go to frankerfacez.com and download an extension. 

Step 2: 

Click on the FrankerFaceZ settings on Twitch located in the upper right corner of the screen, next to your profile icon. 

Step 3: 

In the pop-up window click on Adds-Ons and enable 7TV and BTTV emotes. 

How to Install Chat Emotes for Phone? 

In order to have access to a wide variety of interesting Twitch emotes on your phone, the Twitch app won’t do it! The best option is to download the Chatsen app. 

Here’s what you need to do: 

Step 1: 

Download the Chatsen app. 

Step 2: 

Log into your Twitch account via app. 

Step 3: 

Add the channel you want to chat in and you’re good to go!

And that’s it! 

That’s all you need to do to increase the number of valuable emotes in your chat! Simply go to chat and click on an icon on the far right to check all the emotes you  now have at your disposal.
