Wild Wild Riches Megaways is played on 6 reels, each one containing randomly from 2 to 7 symbols. As expected from a Megaways title, the max number of paylines extend up to 117,679, but there is no tumbling feature in the game. In addition, the slot has a 96.02%, 5/5 volatility, and a max win of 10,000x the bet.
The symbols here don’t deviate from the original Wild Wild Riches at all with strong Irish-themed images such as the clovers, horseshoes, and beers. Even the gameplay gets carried over with the Money Collect feature in the base game. There are Money Symbols that can land on reel 3 - 6, and Wild symbols landing on reel 1 and 2. When players hit a Wild on both of the first 2 reels, they collect the money symbols on subsequent reels from left to right.
Note that the money symbols have to be adjacent to each other; for example, if there are Money Symbols on reels 3, 5, and 6, but none on reel 4, you only Collect Money Symbols on reel 3. Theses symbols can carry prizes as follows:
- Cash prizes from 1x to 20x the stakes.
- The Mini (25x), Minor (50x), Mega (100x), or Maxi (250x) Jackpot.
- Multipliers of 2x, 3x, or 5x which apply to the total win.
Entering the bonus in Wild Wild Riches Megaways takes a slightly trickier road than normal: hitting Wilds on reel 1 and 2 plus a bonus symbol in the shape of a hat on reel 3. Then, you are rewarded with 6 - 20 free spins with the chance to gamble for more. This way players can increase their number of free spins but they can also lose the bonus altogether. The free spins round doesn’t introduce any new mechanics but simply adds more Wilds and Money Symbols on the reels.

The original Wild Wild Riches Luck of The Irish is a delightful title in the Pragmatic Play’s catalog of slots, and the Megaways version offers a fresh new way to enjoy the game but it doesn’t do much to elevate it.
Having said that, the reason this new version doesn’t mess around with the core gameplay of the original is probably because it works so well! The Money Collect feature here is unlike any other games, and the gamble feature is a treat for those who can handle the tilt of losing all your free spins.
