The monkey protagonist is the Wild symbol with the power to substitute for all symbols except Scatter and Money symbols. Able to appear on all reels, all Wilds that hit are collected by the character, a visual feature for entertainment purposes only.
Another special monkey is the one guarding the reels above the grid. Completely randomly, the monkey can get excited and lean over the game, which sometimes can result in triggering the Prize Feature.
When this feature is active, one random symbol is selected to become the Money symbol and all instances of it on the screen get a random money value from a pre-defined set: 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 8x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 30x, or 50x total bet.

- In case there are 4 to 8 Money symbols in view, a Respin feature triggers, awarding 3 free spins.
For the respin, all Money symbols are held in place, while only blanks and other symbols spin. Every time a new Money symbol hits, it also remains in place and the number od respins is reset back to 3. Winning combinations are paid after each respin.
When there are no more respins left or the screen is filled with Money symbols, the respin feature ends and the values of all money symbols are added together and paid.
If the screen is filled with Money symbols, a wheel appears, awarding a random multiplier of 2x, 3x, 5x or 8x. The multiplier is applied to the total value of all Money symbols collected or a Max win that awards the maximum possible win in the game.

As an addition to Pragmatic Play’s series of lucky animals, Lucky Monkey is a feel-good slot that doesn’t take itself too seriously - and that’s exactly why it works. While it isn’t quite the game type I prefer, especially since there is no Buy Bonus option, it is great for those who prefer a simpler, more classic gameplay with nice potential max win.
